We provides disability and mental health support services to empower individuals to live life on their own terms. We have over 30 years of experience in disability support and advocacy, with a toolbox of skills to help NDIS participants achieve their goals and a framework to measure impact.
We are building the capability of people with disability and community sectors Organisations. We specialize in upskilling dynamic community sector employees, equipping them with skills to survive and thrive in a post-NDIS landscape.
Rather than seeing a disability, we see people with skills, insights, and unique perspectives.
At AbilitySeer, we stand in front, stand behind, and stand beside through any challenge, challenging the things which need to change.
Tim O’Hare holds degrees in Applied Economics and Law from the University of Canberra and has over 20 years of experience working directly with people with disability of all kinds, including three years as a Disability Advocate, NDIS Appeals officer (throughout ACT and Southern NSW), and 8 years as an NDIS specialist support coordinator. Tim has supported people with disability to achieve their residential, employment, and educational goals.
Tim has designed, developed, and delivered innovative training in Support Coordination to over 1,000 community sector support coordinators and community organisations across Australia, and has written instructional materials and designed learning experiences to assist new and experienced support coordinators to exceed best practices.
Tim worked in a variety of legal positions, including with Slater & Gordon, and with Mark Ireland Lawyers Bathurst, where he worked whilst completing his Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice, working in family law, criminal law, and wills and estates.
Tim has held positions in Commonwealth Government including senior roles as an economist working to improve food security in remote indigenous townships and settlements.
Tim has taught Introduction to Economics to the University of Canberra undergraduate students, Negligence Law to Charles Sturt University students, and enjoys his current role in which he shares his knowledge about the NDIS and its processes to benefit his clients, assist in mentoring community sector workers, and people with disability to get the best from the NDIS, and in implementing plans as a support coordinator.
We stand behind our work because we’re passionate about advocacy. Whether we’re supporting people with disability to implement their NDIS plan, training community organisations beyond the best practice level, or appealing a decision of the NDIS relating to eligibility or funding of support.
We pour our commitment to supporting people with disability into every project, which is why we know that you’ll love our work.
We strive to support our clients in the realization of their goals and human rights, equitable access and fair and just outcomes.
We are transparent, authentic and ethical in our work, guided by human rights principles.
We are continuously learning and working in collaborative and innovative ways to effect positive change and meaningful outcomes for our clients.
We continuously work to build trust, increase self-awareness and improve our practices through respectful and constructive dialogue.
Our mission is to assert, promote and protect the rights and responsibilities of people with disabilities, people who are older, people experiencing mental ill-health, and people who are informal carers.
Our vision is to live in a community in which everyone may exercise their rights and responsibilities, lead lives of value and dignity and pursue their dreams.
